Club Report ***Wellington Junior Squash Club***
 Wellington Junior Squash Club who play at the Wellington Sports Centre recently held a team squash week-end with 30 juniors and adults competing for the club trophies.
More than 50 matches were played over a Saturday and Sunday followed by the presentation of trophies to all the winners and runners up.  A thoroughly enjoyable, fun and competitive atmosphere was enjoyed by all the players and spectators.
Wellington Junior Squash Club thrives on enthusiastic juniors, encouraging parents and professional coaches and would invite you t try us out!!

Tony Pryce Sports Sponsor Junior Club Annual Tournament.  Wellington Junior Squash club who play at the Wellington Sports Centres recently held their annual graded tournament with 46 juniors competing for the club trophies.  Tony Pryce Sports are the NEW SPONSORS of the club's annual tournament.
More than 50 matches were played over 9 hours followed by the presentation of trophies by Emma Gibson, SRA South West Development Officer, to all the winners and runners up.

SILVER AWARDS
JULY 2000

Wellington Junior Squash Club - awarded the first Silver Club Accreditation
in the South West Region (July 2000)

Emma Gibson from the SRA presents the silver plaques for the Junior Development to Adrian Wordsworth and Nick Thomas, committee members of the Wellington Junior Squash Club, watched by some of the young players

Adrian Wordsworth is the Level 3 head coach at this Junior Club which plays out of Wellington Sports Centre.  The junior committee has worked hard to provide a whole range of activities for junior players and has encouraged parents to become involved with the club, as well as qualifying volunteers as coaches.  They have attracted local sponsorship and successfully applied for and received Awards for All funds.

Their Silver portfolio was impressive and demonstrated a real commitment to junior development in the Wellington area.
